Exciting News: New Name, Same Mission!

We’re thrilled to announce that Louisville Atheists & Freethinkers is now Louisville Atheists!

Why the change? While “freethinkers” is a valuable term, it is broadly used in many different contexts and does not specifically define our mission. Our goal has always been to foster a strong, inclusive community for atheists in Louisville—to provide support, advocacy, and social connections for those who live without religious belief. By simplifying our name to Louisville Atheists, we make our identity and purpose clearer to both our members and the wider community.

Rest assured, our core values and activities remain the same. We continue to welcome everyone who shares our commitment to secularism, reason, and critical thinking. This change simply better reflects who we are and what we stand for.
